
Vermiculite

Vermiculite is a gibbsite silicate mineral. After heating, it becomes yellow, or white. When it is heated to 850°C-950°C, it will lose its water and expand which volume will increase to 8-15 times. It possesses the characteristics of flameproof, thermal insulation, sound absorption, nontoxic, low capacity, wet absorption, anti-fugi, etc.. It is used in such industries as construction, chemical industry, petroleum, electronics, light industry, environment protection, agriculture, and landscape virescence.
